LUCY: “Karen Paul with her two rescue dogs, Snoopy and Lucy, enjoying the “Pets on Third” event. Lucy, in the foreground, came from Brooke’s, and she has become a wonderful addition to their family.” Picture
BADGER: Badger and Baxter have been rolling around, chasing each in our back yard ALL weekend. He has been very well behaved! He's a great addition! Thank you! Picture
White Whisper: White Whisper arrived in her new home this afternoon! She is really precious! Thank you so very much. We love her! We will send a picture of her with all the community soon, I hope. -Sr. Mary, OP Picture
GLENDA: I just wanted to say thank you very much for all of the hard work that you do. Because of your rescue agency, we have a wonderful new addition to our family. Last month, my husband Jeff and I adopted Autumn (Genda). She has is such a joy and a little clown. We adopted her so our first dog would have a sibling. Now our two girls are two peas in a pod. They do not like to be apart. I have attached some photos of the two girls. Autumn is the airedale mix and Brea is the wheaten terrier. Thank you again for rescuing the animals and helping them to find a loving family. Picture
BELL: Hi everyone... Hope you enjoy the new pictures of bell. She can be a real ham when it comes to the camera! Hi everyone... Bell is doing just wonderful and as you can tell from these pictures she has gotten allot more filled out. She has certainly become the "Tomboy" and not the lady she should be... but that's ok we love her to pieces!!!! Bell went for her shots and checkup in November, she has done well for the time she has been with us, she gained almost 10 lbs from her first checkup. They did discover that she has a heart murmur, the vet has assured me that it is a very slight one but that he thinks that over time she may grow out of it. But never the less we have decided that she will be looked at twice a year for it. Are little girl has been a real rascal at times and she always keeps us laughing every day even when are's is a bad one... She is a real food hog. so we have taken to putting her in a cage at meal time to control her eating habits. She has stopped making a mess in her cage and has now gotten into the daily routine of are house, believe me when she has to go she can be VERY vocal in the middle of the night even if that means getting under the covers and sticking that wet cold nose on are backs to wake us up. She has taken to sleeping in bed with us, and most times hog's the bed she has thrown my boyfriend out of bed more then once because she just "needs more room" ! And for some unknown reason she loves to dive under the covers and trash around.. Her and my oldest dog louie did not get along at first Louie became very jealous at first and she has a few scars to prove it, but bell has learned how far she can go with him and knows how far to stay out of his reach, he has hip dysphasia and that makes for him not to jump to far to catch her. She can be a tease ! They now are becoming fast friends and she just does all kinds of silly things to get his attention. Well, I guess that's all for now take care and as always are wish for your family from are's.... may we save more and give them the life and forever home that they deserve... Picture
BOBARINO: We just wanted to give you an up-date on our adopted pet BO, also known as Bobarino,(Lhasa Apso). My husband and I couldn't have asked for a better dog, he is so happy to be loved and cared for. He is also smart, loveable, has not made one mess in the house, dose not beg for food , sleeps nicely in his bed next to our bed, welcomes us in the morning with kisses, lets us know when he has to go out side, and yes he is spoiled but he deserves it. Tink, thank you and all the rescue people Picture
VERN: I just thought I'd let you know that "Vern" now named Pepper is settling in very well. We are best pals! I took him to vetinary at PetsMarts and he is in good condition except he has/had hook worms. He is due back for another fecal on 9-11. He is still on the Chicken Soup dog food and I'm sure he has gained some weight. He enjoys our long walks and playing fetch the ball in the backyard. I'm beginning to see a little hair regrowth. LOL Pepper loves people, but he is a little aggressive with my sister's dog and nips at her. He also likes to chew and has chewed through two nylon leashes, but now he has a metal one. Picture
Just wanted to thank you for all your help with our adoption of Dalilah. We made it back to Maryland without any issues. We left Petco in Naples and drove to Savannah, Georgia with only one stop for gas and dinner. That was over 7 hours and she didn't make a sound the entire ride. She then slept through the night at the foot of the king size bed we had reserved at the Red Roof Inn. On Saturday we left Savannah at 9:00am and drove all the way back to Maryland. We stopped for lunch and dinner, and fed and walked the dog at each stop, and got home at 9:30pm (over 12 hours) Again not one sound or problem with Dalilah the entire ride. She was amazing. Thanks again for all your help. Although I first saw her in November on Fifth Avenue, I really just could not get to Florida before New Years Day - we are so glad you still had her. She seems like a really nice dog and I know my family will give her a great home. Picture
ALLISON: Hi everyone, Im here to let you know, I love my new home. The other dogs (duke and dixie) are still adpating to me, but we sometimes play. My new mommy and daddy give me so much love and attention, even with the other two dogs. I run in the big yard everyday. The first night was a little hard, everything was new to me, so i had a couple accidents, but mommy is a trooper and was very patient with me. I love my space that i took on the couch to relax. I sleep with mommy and daddy and the other dogs in the bed. I met my new grandmas 2 shih tzus the first day, and we had fun playing and running the yard. I do miss you guys and thank you so much for saving me and giving me a second chance to be in a wonderful home. And I am in a wonderful home. I will update you guys more on my progress. Also i get to meet my new doctor on Wednesday for a check up and to get my stitches out. I love you all and miss everyone. Picture
Poochie Bell: I just wanted to say thank you for choosing my husband and I for the adoption of Poochie Belle. She is now Bella. She is a joy to have and she is keeping us all busy. Thanks again, and will look forward to helping out anyways I can for your cause. Picture
Chica Poo: Hi, Told you I would send a picture of Chica Poo who's new name is Caylee. I waited until she had the cone removed and was healed. There was a problem with her being spayed while being in not so good health. The stitches kept tearing out so our vet put staples in. She is fine now, we are spoiling her but she is really acting like a puppy now with all the piss and vinegar that goes with being a pup. Picture
Marilyn Monroe: Hi all, I just referred an acquaintance to petfinder.com (for about the hundredth time) & it made me think of you again. so I thought I'd drop you a line. we adopted marilyn monroe (a female maltese) almost 2 years ago & she has blossomed into the most confident, sassy and wonderful girl. I cannot overstate how much we just love her. She's traveled to Calgary Canada, St Paul, MN, Rhode Island & Massachusetts, Bimini, Mexico and St Barth's with us. She's a great flyer and sailor. So, thank you all so very much for all the wonderful work you do. Goodnes knows we will be forever grateful. Picture
HoneyBelle: Hi: Hi, I wanted to let you know that I am doing great in my new home. I am sending some pictures so you can see me in my new favorite places. I have beds all over the house and my very own couch. I love to watch, and chase, the squirrels in the backyard. Sometimes I'm laying in the yard and sometimes I watch from inside. There are lots of squirrels to play with and lots of room to run and get wild, and boy do I. I am also quite the leaper. I may have some frisbee playing in my future. I haven't learned how to swim yet, but I'm thinking about it. I get to go to the park every day. Mom T takes me before she goes to work during the week because she doesn't have to be at work too early. On the weekend we all 3 go. I get so excited to go to the park!! I love to ride in the car and am a very good girl. Every night Mom R plays in the yard with me until it's almost dark. We have lots of fun. She thinks she runs fast, but she doesn't really....but I don't tell her that. Hopefully soon I will have a sister to play with and maybe she can keep up with me when I run like the wind. I keep hearing my Moms whisper to each other that they feel like they won the lotto when they found me. They call me their new treasure!! They are right!!Thank you for taking care of me until I could find my forever home. Picture
MARCO: Marco is a wonderful boy! He hasn't barked once since we got him yesterday and is going outside for potty well. He was great in the car and I think he loves it here. We just got back from a walk around the circle of our subdivision (.67 mile). He did great! He LOVES to go after anything that moves! I have him on a 4 ft leash, so he can't catch anything, but he is having a ball trying. I think we both found our soul mate! My husband loves him, too. Picture
Marco-Jonas: On the Road again....I have added another state to my resume! We all went to Northport, Michigan last weekend it was GREAT!!, My first beach… (I never got to go in Florida)! My First Swim....I love my new family! Thank you for making this all possible!PS – I hit 45 pounds and I am now sleeping outside the crate on a “big boy” pillow! Picture
